Argon Films are a group of young filmmakers from London, England who intend to shock and horrify the entire nation. Spearheaded by the company's founder, the ever-astute Percy Manthey, they make films long and short that examine the drifting lives of young people, using the only tools they know how to use: crude humour, satire, surrealism, wit, and ire.

If Argon Films were to have a stated goal, it would be as follows: We want to make films that nobody has made yet - for one reason or another, filmmakers have fallen behind the times, they seem unable or unwilling to portray the contemporary lives of people our age. It's understandable - looking at phones and scrolling through social media isn't exactly 'filmic' - but we intend to make it so. The physical and digital worlds are no longer on separate planes, they are an inseparable whole. Shallow aspirations and societal rot incubated us. It's a strange world, but we intend to make strange films.

In 2024, we released ZIPWHARF, a feature length revenge comedy made with a low budget and lots of favours. Shot during the summer of 2023, it was the biggest project any of us had worked on and Argon Films' first ever feature. It has so far played in film festivals in New York and London; some have hailed its unique vision and scrappy aesthetics, while others have condemned it as bewildering nonsense.

We have also shot hundreds of short films and sketches for our YouTube channel, starting with the school projects Argon Films was made for, leading up to the present day. During 2022, we produced at least one new video per week, the best of which have been compiled on this site.

In 2025, we will begin work on our second feature film, of which more details will arise in the near future.
